Sabrina Vega was born on May 24, 1995. She began gymnastics at the age of six while attending a friend's birthday party. After six months, she competed as a level four. She moved to Dynamic Gymnastics shortly after her first season. She is coached by Teodora Ungureanu-Cepoi and Sorin Cepoi.

In 2003, she competed as a level five. She finished fourth on beam at the I Love NY Cup. She competed as a level seven in 2005. She won the New York State Championships. Besides the all-around title, she broke the state record! She moved up to level eight in 2006. She won the all-around at the Manhattan Classic. She won gold medals on vault and beam. At the Universal International Invitational, Sabrina won gold medals on everything except bars. At the Heartland Classic, she won golds on all of the events except for floor. At States, Sabrina won vault, floor and the all-around title. She continued her great season at Regionals. She came home with the all-around crown. She also won bars, beam and floor.

Sabrina moved up to level nine in the fall of 2006. She finished first all-around at the Ballooon Classic and Big Apply Holiday Meet. At the I Love NY Cup in 2007, she won the all-around title. She swept the gold medals at the Spirit of America meet and Presidential Classic. At the Brestyan Invitational, Sabrina also won the all-around title. At States, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She swept the gold medals at Regionals. At Easterns, Sabrina won bars and beam. She also won the all-around title!

 After the level nine season, Sabrina tested to hopes pre-elite. She won the American Challenge. She was invited to National Training Camps in October and January. She moved up to level ten for the 2008 season. Sabrina won the all-around at the Big Apple Holiday Classic. She also won the all-around at the Spirit of America Meet and Caribbean Winter Invitational. Sabrina had a great meet at the Friendship Classic. The meet was scored under elite rules. She placed second all-around. She also finished second on vault and bars. She won beam. Sabrina swept the gold medals at the Level 10 State Championships! At Regionals, she finished second all-around. She won vault, bars and beam. Sabrina placed fifth on vault and beam at JO Nationals.

Two weeks before JO Nationals, she qualified to junior international elite and the US National Championships! At the US Classic, she finished in the top ten all-around. She made her first US National Team at the US National Championships. In 2009, she competed at the Gymnix International. She placed second on bars, beam, floor and the all-around. In April, she placed second on floor and third all-around at the American Classic. Sabrina also competed at the USA v. France and USA v. Germany meets.
